Baby Shower Gift Idea Brainstorming

Submitted By: Jennifer Adair
Choosing the right baby shower gift is very important and you should give it some serious thought. Baby showers are one of the best occasions for gift giving. But if you’re one of those people who are completely clueless when it comes to babies, then this could be a difficult situation for you.

Here are some suggestions and tips on how to find a gift for those cute babies:

1. Just go to any mall and browse through the toy department section. You should be able to choose something that a baby will love. Remember that little babies are delicate creatures, so stay away from toys that might potentially harm them. Soft toys, baby books, baby apparels are some of the more ideal presents that are suitable for babies. If you find that you are still having trouble deciding on a purchase, ask a friendly salesperson to assist you.

2. Most pregnant women have a registry account that specifies the items that they need for their babies. This makes the process of gift giving so much easier for friends and family. This also takes out the guess work out of the equation. So if you’re not one of those people are not crazy about surprises, you can always just check a mother-to-be’s list to find out exactly what type of gift she wants.

3. Ask your friends who are parents to assist you in your time of need. Ask them to impart their wisdom onto you, and discuss the things that a baby might need.

How to Get Girls With Bad Boy Attitude, and Nice Guy Style

by: James Brito

It’s a classic topic of conversation for guys: What kind of men do women want, nice guys or bad boys? An interesting statistic tells us just what kind of personality women want in men. A survey by TopDatingTips.com found that 38% of women prefer nice guys, 15% prefer bad guys, and 34% prefer a blend of both.

Did you hear that last number? A good 1/3 of women don’t want guys who are 100% good or 100% bad. 34% want a guy who’s got a little good, and a little bad, in him. The good part in him makes him treat her well and shower her with affection; the bad part in him makes him exciting, dangerous, and powerful. Fortunately, mixing some bad parts with your good side isn’t that difficult. It requires positive changes that will change the way you look, feel, and talk to women.

You don’t have to be a bad boy to get girls. You just have to bring bad boy attitude. The five ways to do this are:

Get physical
Make her feel safe
Play on her wild side
Don’t let anyone walk over you
Develop ATTITUDE

Breastfeeding Pros And Cons

by: Linda Davis

No matter how you look at it, breastfeeding is the best feeding alternative to keep your child healthy and strong. Breast milk, according to the experts, contains proteins, fats, and antibodies that help protect your child from infection and disease. It also provides your child with enzymes that help with his or her digestion.

Yet no matter how long the list of benefits is, there are still some mothers who can not do it because of time constraints or low milk production. Others combine formula feeding and breast milk. There are no disadvantages to breastfeeding. Rather, there are factors that may prevent some mothers from breastfeeding. Here are several of the Pros and cons of breastfeeding:

PROS:

1. Breast milk contains such nutrients as vitamins, minerals, and an enzyme that aids in digestion and prevents diarrhea.

2. Breast milk contains antibodies that help babies fight off infections like otitis media and respiratory problems like meningitis and bronchitis. It has been found to reduce the incidence and intensity of atopic diseases. Babies who breastfeed tend to suffer from colds less frequently and have fewer incidents of colic.

Baby Shower: The Welcoming Committee on Board

by: Donald Perreira

Finding out your pregnant is the best news of all. Well, second to hearing the grand proposal of a lifetime. After a successful wedding ceremony, hearing that your love has borne fruit is the icing on the cake. For first time expecting mothers, it is a difficult and herculean task to search and look for all the right stuff and equipment the baby will need. Moms-to-be need to list down all the things the baby would need at the soonest possible time so that little by little, each item can already be purchased and readied for the baby’s arrival. But there is another easy way to almost have it all, without getting too much headache over it. The solution is to hold a baby shower party! The only headache mom-to-be would have is the menu she would have to prepare on that day and that is easier for her.

Now the burden of searching and looking for baby stuff is passed on to the invitees. But another concern is raised. How will the baby shower go about? The best answer there is, is to have a theme that would guide the flow of the baby shower. There are several ways of choosing and deciding on a theme. Do you want it to be based on color? In case you already know the gender of the baby, pink or blue is used to universally represent a baby girl or a baby boy. Or baby items such as a pacifier or a baby bottle? How about character-themed baby shower such as the Sesame Street, Power Puff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory or the Looney Tunes? It could also be a time-of-the-day baby shower whereby each invitee is tasked to bring something the baby would need or use during that time of the day.
